Court process

Once a prisoner is at court, prisons will contribute to a number of processes depending on the outcome of the hearing. This section explains how documentation will be shared with the prison by HMCTS, and also how the prison can support a prisoner’s release.

Inter-prison transfers (IPTs)

This section explains how and the circumstances in which Inter-Prison Transfers can be booked, operational requirements impacting longer journeys, and how prisoner property should be managed.

Information technology

PECS suppliers use electronic devices to capture and transfer risk information. This section provides details on which devices are authorised, what they look like, and how they should be managed.
